Maybe we should change, everything.
Another big company is destroying what we like for money. It happens daily, everywhere. To Leave DA, is refusing compromises.
Never buy anything from Amazon, never drink coffee from starbuck, eat only burger from local cooks...
Maybe... I do not dream of it anymore, it's a lost battle which would need personal investigation. It's easier to satisfy our desirs...
Thank you to all of you who liked, disliked, commented, followed my work. I hope I'll meet you on other plateforms. Listen to good music, desobey and keep your free will as your more precious tresure.
I was seven, nine, eleven, then fourteen years old. My friends used to listen to Madonna, Michael Jackson and other bullshits.
From rich and quiet Switzerland, I had the chance to go for holidays to Bradford, UK. In late 70's and 80's, from Switzerland to Bradford was a kind of huge gap. In Bradford, I drunk my first stolen beers, I opened deeply my skin in an accident. Above all, I had the chance to listen to new sounds, to discover punk, new wave, cold wave.
There was this song sang by french bass player of Stranglers, "La Folie", with such strange lyrics to my young mind. If I gave up with a big part of these bands, Stranglers were apart. I saw some gigs in the 90's under tents in winter, everybody was frozen and I still wonder how could they play music with fingers as hard as iron. Members of the band looked like red and drunk faces of dock workers, belly full of beers, maybe 50 people in the crowd, and the magic of such a dark music, too loud, knowing that ears will whistle for two days after the gig.
Covid killed keyboard player yesterday. Maybe he was an asshole, or just a bad guy. Really I do not care, death of an artist you loved, or death of a part of a band you love, is like an amputation, a part of yourself will miss, always. Never, I will say that I'll miss you, it would be a lie. But I'll miss, deeply, your music!
I apologie to those who asked me to stay.
Compromise is already difficult enough in professional life. Da was place to express myself, naked.
Take care.
